What is Expedia® Elite Plus?

Expedia® Elite Plus™ is an invitation-only, preferred traveler status that entitles members to exclusive benefits, services and offers, including full access to the Elite Plus website. Elite Plus members still book their travel on Expedia—they just get more benefits.

Who is eligible? What do I have to do to qualify?

Expedia customers who are residents of the United States and who stay a minimum of 12 hotel nights in Expedia booked hotels, or complete at least $10,000 worth of travel booked on Expedia within a calendar year.

How will I know that I’ve qualified?

An account upgrade notice and Elite Plus password credentials are sent to the email address associated with your Expedia account. In addition, a welcome kit is mailed to you. Please be sure that your email and mailing addresses are up to date. Update your email address or update your mailing address here.

What do I have to do to enroll?

Nothing. There is no cost to you and enrollment is automatic. Just be sure to keep your email and mailing address information updated on your Expedia account.

Why do I need an Elite Plus password?

This Elite Plus members-only website was created so that we can provide Elite Plus members exclusive offers and specials. Some of these offers can only be redeemed through this site.

How will I be notified of specials and offers?

Elite Plus members will be notified of new program benefits and exclusive offers on a regular basis through email and/or special letters or postcards. Please be sure that your email and mailing addresses are up to date.

When will my membership expire?

All current members are eligible for membership through December 31, 2008. Members who stay a minimum of 12 hotel nights, or complete at least $10,000 worth of travel booked on Expedia during 2008 will retain their membership through December 31, 2009.

What do I have to do to cancel my membership?

If you would like to be removed from the Elite Plus program, please call the Elite Plus customer service center at 1-800-397-1207 and an Elite Plus travel specialist will remove you from the program.

Benefits:

Can others use my membership?

Only you can use your membership card. You may be asked to present identification when using your card for discounts and special privileges. You may use special fare offers and coupons that you receive as an Elite Plus member to book travel for others as long as bookings are made through your Expedia account. Travel booked for others on your Expedia account is eligible for the Expedia fee waiver for changes or cancellations and will count towards future Elite Plus qualification. Credit is awarded once travel is completed.
